2012 marks the 50^th anniversary of the cult classic movie What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?

Direct from London’s West End, renowned actresses Anita Dobson (recently seen in BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing) and Greta Scacchi (currently appearing in David Williamson’s new play, Nothing Personal, in Sydney, Australia) star in Anton Burge’s new play, Bette and Joan.

Featuring some of the greatest rock songs ever written, 20th Century Boy is a celebration of the life of Marc Bolan and his band T. Rex, and stars some of the greatest singers and dancers fromLondon’sWest End.

Rocker, poet, electric warrior, king of glam, godfather of punk, Marc Bolan tried many styles on for size in his search to become a superstar. Before his tragic death in 1977, a few days short of his 30th Birthday, Bolan lived life at breakneck speed, creating a series of iconic images, a string of number one hits and an army of obsessive fans. This dynamic new musical looks behind the glitter and the sequins to discover what drove the “bard of Hackney” to become “bigger than Elvis”.

The show will be packed with all of T. Rex’s 70s hits, including Ride a White Swan, Metal Guru, Get It On, I Love to Boogie, Children of the Revolution, and of course the title track 20th Century Boy.

This is a bigger, bolder, full scale production following on from the sellout success of the original 20th Century Boy at the New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich.
