Oh What A Lovely War

Oh What A Lovely War

Created using songs that British soldiers sang during the First World War and featuring musical numbers including It’s a Long Way to Tipperary and Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit-Bag, this dynamic and powerful production is the theatrical must-see event of the year.

Stirring and satirical, OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR has been newly re-imagined and comes direct from a sell-out run at Theatre Royal Stratford East where it also received its premiere in 1963 before transferring to the West End and Broadway.

Director Terry Johnson has won nine British Theatre awards including Olivier Awards for Best Comedy and Playwright of the Year. In 2010 he won the Tony Award for Best Director of a Musical for La Cage aux Folles.
